Consultation has concluded. Thank you for your participation.

Our parks and trails help to define our high quality of life in many ways.

They encourage active lifestyles and active transportation, support recreational activities and special events, preserve natural heritage and wildlife habitat, strengthen tourist and economic development, and contribute to healthy communities.

We are committed to ensuring that the parks and trails system continues to meet resident needs into the future.

To achieve this, we have prepared a Parks and Trails Master Plan that sets priorities for improving and expanding our parks, open space and trail network over the next 10 years. Thank you to everyone who participated in our community engagement.

At the Dec. 10, 2020 Coordinated Committee meeting, council received the final Parks and Trails Master Plan. See the related presentation. Background material can be found in the Document Library on the right side of this page.
