Consultation has concluded.

The Town of Wasaga Beach Recreation, Events and Facilities Department will soon be proposing to Council the fees and charges for the next three year period, covering 2023, 2024 and 2025. During this timeframe, the Town will take great honour in opening the new Cortellucci Zancor Centre, twin-pad arena and library, and begin renting all facilities within.

In an effort to structure the fees as suitable as possible for the various community organizations, service clubs, and minor/adult/senior sport groups, the Recreation, Events and Facilities Department is seeking information about your organization, and feedback as to how the fee structure can best support your needs to successfully operate and continue to grow.

The last three-year fee schedule has been attached for your reference and comparison. Annual increases to fees moving forward are planned to increase in a similar manner across the board with slight variation from one facility or service to another. Staff are also interested to gather insights into time blocks and implications the current fee structure has on user groups.

The three year rates and fees schedule is subject to Council approval in the fall of 2022 although annual budget approvals ultimately solidify Town service and facility rental fees for each calendar year.

By setting a three-year fee schedule it gives the boards and executives of the various sports organizations and community groups using municipal recreation facilities a platform to plan and set registration fees appropriately. We hope community stakeholders will take this opportunity to tell us if and how fees could be alternatively structured to better support their needs.

Please review the past three-year fee schedule and complete the questionnaire no later than Sunday August 21, 2022.

Please Note: This questionnaire is intended to be completed by the board/executive/lead contact representing Wasaga Beach community organizations and stakeholders that frequently rent recreational facilities.
